About Recalled Today
Recalled Today is a free, independent tracker of product recalls and safety notices in Canada. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or part of any government agency.
What you get
- One feed of recalls for households, newest first, with the urgent ones marked. Recalls of hospital, lab and fleet products are kept in Healthcare and labs and Commercial vehicles, and out of the main feed and digests.
- A plain-English summary and a “what to do” line on every recall, written only from the official notice.
- The official notice’s own wording and a link to it.
- Category, company and keyword search, RSS and email alerts, and weekly back issues.
- Product photos are not shown.
Where recalls come from
Health Canada · Health Canada, Recalls and Safety Alerts open data
Consumer products, health products such as medicines and natural health products, and medical devices.
CFIA · Canadian Food Inspection Agency, food recall warnings in the same open data
Food recalls and allergy alerts.
Transport Canada · Transport Canada, Motor Vehicle Safety Recalls
Vehicle, tire and child car seat recalls, from the open data and Transport Canada’s own recall feed and database.
Licence and attribution
Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada.
- Canadian recalls come from the Government of Canada’s Recalls and Safety Alerts open data (Health Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Transport Canada). Recalled Today does not copy Canada.ca recall pages or images.
- Each recall page names its official notice and links to it.
- The headline, summary and steps are written by Recalled Today from the official notice; they are not written by any agency.
Before you act
- Always read the official notice. Recalled Today summarizes it, and the agency’s notice is what counts.
- If a recalled medicine or medical device is one you rely on, talk to a pharmacist or doctor before you stop using it, unless the notice says otherwise.
